3 Secret Scholarships Virginia Parents Need to Apply for NOW!

As a parent who is purposefully investing in your child's future, I have heard time and time again that finding the best quality education for your child at an affordable rate is one of your top challenges. The public school system can be scary, and statistics are daunting, but parents like you do not have to settle!


Sooooo, y'all!!! Here's your chance to change your child's trajectory...forever! I investigated companies and organizations (making calls, sending emails, reading government legalities, --all the things you would do if you weren't so busy).

The good news? I found out that affording a high-quality education isn't out of reach! Did you know that your child may qualify for funding to attend a school or program outside of the public school system?!!!! If you're anything like me, this is something that you'll find extremely valuable.



Education Improvement Scholarship Tax Credits Program (EISTC)

Partners with non-profit and private schools

Here's the first step in determining if your child qualifies:

  • make below 300% of the federal poverty level OR

  • special education students who come from families who make below 400% of the federal poverty level.

Check to see if your income qualifies.

Neighborhood Assistance Tax Credit Program.

Partners with neighborhood programs that extend support of the child--think Boys and Girls Club, Discovery Programs, and even non-profit and public schools!

Lastly, and perhaps the one I'm most excited about and thankful for is the Mayor's Military Fund which is specifically set up for children of active duty service members, children of a wounded warrior, or children of a parent who was killed in action.
